So it turns into a dynamic product that can be modified at any time in a few seconds.

In addition to the structure, you can exchange the skin to modify the environment through colors and light intensity. Skins can be purchased separately and used according to the occasion, the interior design or your changing taste. Buy paper skins or download the digital version and Do It Yourself at home. They can also be customized with your own graphic design or picture.

The applications

Not intended to be a lamp for writing or reading, it’s more like a focal point, which adds some glow and character to the room.
Several types of plug and light for different situations can be purchased separately as well. While the big Glow model is intended to serve as a side lamp, the small Glow DIY can be designed as corporate gifts, event centerpieces, or every occasion you would use candles, without the burning risk. You can print the name of your restaurant or business, holiday cards or souvenirs at the end of an event or conference.

Every detail is carefully designed so that Glow is more than a luminaire, it becomes an experience.

How it started

Glow was born in Uruguay. Under the name "Glou, ideas brillantes" existed for a period of time as a handicraft product. Although it looked “mass produced”, it was me making them at home. This hampered large scale production but i have to admit I enjoyed the direct relationship with each customer.

“Glou ideas brillantes” participated in many craft and industrial design fairs, as well as in a local design TV show and the radio.
Several years later, Glow evolves to meet the needs of a variety of customers worldwide. A totally industrial product is proposed, and the ability to play with the shapes of the structure, which was not possible with the first model. This new version of Glow is available at our online store.

The Designer

Hi, my name is Fabiana and I am the designer of Glow bright ideas. I was born in Uruguay in the early eighties, in a family of creative and mad dreamers. typical of that time, me and my brother used to play outdoors a lot. We climbed the trees and made mud dolls. I did not play with expensive toys; instead I spent my days drawing and creating board games and as every entrepreneur, at 10 years old I was selling lemonade at the street or small crafts with a friend in her summer home.

I always loved design and was good at drawing. As expected, I studied architecture, and have supplemented with industrial design courses that I found very exciting. After graduated, I found the harsh reality of a country in crisis where getting a steady job was a challenge. As everyone in that side of the world, I had to become a "one man band", doing a bit of everything. I designed logos, commercial spaces, and worked as a freelance Autocad designer for several architects and interior designers. I also worked as an architect in a light construction company where I learned all the secrets of Drywall, to start my own company.

I was also experimenting with lighting design, another passion of mine. I begun to sell my Glow lamps as a hobby in Uruguay, and for a country in eternal economic crisis where design was a luxury, it went pretty well. Now, a different challenge, to supply customers around the world and a whole new collection is available. Check it out, you don’t want to miss yours.
