The chairs included in the apartment were old, ugly, filthy and had an itchy texture. In one word, creepy. It triggered my obsessive compulsive self, so i knew i had to do something. Especially during the summer, when you wear shorts every day.
I bought a non expensive fabric, that would go well with the pshychodelic design we chose for the couch. It's been a hard task, but i think i chose something decent.
Please take a deep breathe and don't panic. This is the before pic:
The fabric had stripes, so it was easy to make a sort of "template". I used the lines as a metric system and glued the fabric to generate the shape I needed. I wrapped the ugly old fabric with these pieces, and hold them together with security pins, hidden at the bottom.
Easy to apply and washable. The cushion i just wrapped it and apply more pins. Didn't even bother cutting the fabric's edge. Who has time for it? (and then i could use these pieces of fabric for other projects).
Like new! a very big and fast change! I payed less than 20 bucks for the fabric.
What do you think? Have you ever done something like this? Show me yours!
