One of the pieces we found in the apartment, is this horrendous TV Rack. I had two options: makeover, or trash. I thought i could try the first one, and this is what happened:
First, i went to the store and bought a white contact paper. It's not the same i used in every project, but a little thicker. It's used for outdoor signing.
The guy told me to use water and soap so the glue would turn repositionable. It was a very hard task. I almost regret i didn't paint it. Let's face it, this technique was a real pain in the ass.
But it pays off, it looks pretty nice for a first-(and last)-soapy-timer!
Then, i added shelves. A few nails to hold them, and wood shelves from another project, i cut to size.
Something i love about Tel Aviv, if you need any kind of furniture, especially small tables, closets or shelves, you go for a walk, and you will find every model and color available. If you dare touching it after every dog in the neighborhood passed by it, it's completely yours!
Now i love it so much, i brought it with me to the next home! I found two big white baskets and three plastic boxes that fit really well as drawers. It's been three years, and it's still like new.
